Gouache paint is a versatile medium that allows you to experiment with a variety of techniques: wet on wet, opaque layering, dry-brushing and more.  It is a fantastic medium for sketching, traveling and working out ideas.

In this workshop students will get an overview of the various ways and techniques one can use gouache.  Randall will demo and lecture about the different techniques and properties of gouache.  Students will create a few different paintings using the techniques explained with plenty of guidance form Randall.

All painting materials will be provided for this workshop.  Yep, you read that correctly.  Paint, brushes, paper and other supplies will be provided for the duration of the workshop.  Students will bring their completed paintings home that day.  

There are 3 things students should bring to the workshop:

1. A sketchbook and pencil for taking notes

2. Photo references of what you want to paint. (please print or bring an iPad/tablet to view the photos).  Using a phone makes teaching more difficult.  Please email Randall if you need some suggestions.

3. Food & Water.  There will be a break for lunch.  There are a bunch of places to grab a quick bite with in walking distance of the studio.  Or you can pack a lunch.

The workshop will be held at Graham Painting Studio from 10am - 4pm on Saturday February 3rd 2024.  Graham Painting Studio is located in the heart of West Chester Pa.  The address is 25 N Walnut St West Chester.  The studio is located on the second floor and there is no handicap access. Students will need to pay for parking in West Chester.  There are plenty of places within a short walk to the studio.  More details will be provided upon registration.

Cancellation Policy: If you have already registered for one of our workshops, and you are no longer able to attend, our cancellation policy is as follows:

• Full refund minus a $50 admin fee up to 30 days out of your scheduled training

• 50% refund after that up to two weeks out from the scheduled date

• No refund within 72 hours of workshop
